Beckett Grading Services uses a half-point scale and its BGS 9.5 Black Label commands significant premiums for certain cards. SGC has gained market share particularly for vintage cards

Heritage Auctions and Goldin Auctions are the dominant specialist houses for high-value cards. PWCC Marketplace and Alt are the major platforms for investment-grade graded cards. eBay remains the most liquid marketplace for the mid-market and below. The National Sports Collectors Convention, held annually in the United States, is the largest gathering in the hobby.
